Wahluke School District Certificated
Applicants
Subject: Applicant Procedure
Thank you for
your interest in the Wahluke School District. To be considered for
any certificated position with the Wahluke School District,
applicants must do the following:
1.
Complete a regular teaching application, a pre-employment
questionnaire, and a Washington State Sexual Misconduct Disclosure
Release form for each previous school employer. (You may make
copies of the blank form if you need more than one.) Fill in the
School District Employer name and address and all information
requested on the center portion of this release form for each
current and/or previous school employer. Be sure to sign each
release form. This disclosure release form, now required by
Washington State, will be mailed by us to previous school employers
of those candidates we consider for hire.
2.
Provide a cover letter/letter of interest, addressed to Human
Resources, stating your interest in a specific job or range of jobs
that you are qualified to teach.
3.
Provide a current resume.
4.
Have on file 3 professional reference letters which reflect
your most recent professional experience. If you have certificated
experience, a reference letter from your last immediate
supervisor/evaluator is preferred. If you do not have certificated
experience, a reference from your student teaching supervisor is
preferred. The two additional references may include principals,
evaluators and/or cooperating teacher supervisors.
5.
Have on file copies of all college transcripts (unofficial
copies are sufficient for the purposes of screening).
6.
Attach a copy of your Washington State certificate.
A current
placement file is sufficient to meet some of the information needs
requested above. However, all information is required in order to
have a completed application packet.
