If you are looking for books for your own children, grandchildren, or other family members, this is also a wonderful opportunity to stock up for summer reading. Building a home library helps keep children engaged in reading over the summer break and encourages a lifelong love of books. Books also make thoughtful and meaningful preschool or Kindergarten graduation gifts that children can enjoy for years to come.
One of my favorite parts of my job is seeing the excitement and joy that books bring to our Kindergarten students. Reading not only helps foster a love of learning, but it also provides wonderful opportunities to teach important social-emotional skills. Through stories, students can explore emotions, develop empathy, and learn healthy ways to recognize and regulate their feelings.
Thank you for supporting our students and helping us build a classroom library that encourages both literacy and social-emotional growth. Whether you are purchasing books for your family or donating to our classroom, your support helps put great books into the hands of children.
