Prom is around the corner! Prom is May 10th from 8-11pm at Sagecliffe Resort & Spa in Quincy, WA. This is the first time in over 20 years that prom has been outside of Mattawa. Mr. Marlow is providing a bus for 50 students who want to come to prom. The theme is "Nighttime in Greece" and prom tickets are on sale now! $15.00 per ticket. The week of prom the class of 2026 will be doing daily drawings on students who have a chance to win a prize (for those who have bought a ticket). Good morning GEAR UP Families, GEAR UP will be hosting a Financial Literacy Event on Saturday May 17, 2025 from 11:30am-5:00pm at Franklin Middle School in Yakima. This dynamic workshop is designed to empower middle and high school students, along with their parents, by providing essential financial literacy skills and fostering strong family engagement. Through interactive workshops, insightful presentations, and valuable resources, participants will gain practical knowledge to navigate regarding financial literacy. By applying learned concepts through engaging hands-on activities, families will strengthen their financial foundation while building a supportive community together. Good morning Class of 2025, Columbia Basin College will be hosting an open house on May 1st, 2025 from 5-7pm. If you are interested in attending please let GEAR UP Staff know and we will be more than happy to offer transportation. There will be a scholarship drawing at the end of the event. Incoming 2025 CBC students that attend can win a $1,000 scholarship! This is a great opportunity to visit campus & learn how to soar at CBC.

After careful consideration and due to a lack of student interest, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Sadie Hawkins Dance. While we know this may be disappointing for some, we want to ensure that our events reflect the excitement and engagement of our student body. For those who have already purchased tickets, your payment will be credited toward your Prom ticket, so you’ll be all set for the biggest night of the year!
