Coffee and Conversations with the WS School Board and Superintendent events have ended 🙌🏽☕️ It was a great experience and event for WSD to have our school board members and superintendent connect and communicate with our staff and parents to share deeper conversations about ideas and concerns. This week, March 14th-18th is classified employee appreciation week. We want to take this time to thank all of those employees who are involved in nearly every aspect of education - maintaining the school buildings and grounds, keeping school facilities clean and orderly, providing secretarial and clerical assistance, fiscal administration, preparing and serving meals, upgrading and maintaining the technology equipment on campus, providing safe transportation, individualized instruction to students in the classroom, and addressing the health and safety of our students. Thank you for supporting the learning environment and serving as crucial partners in the Wahluke education system. WASHINGTON STATE INDOOR MASK MANDATE REMINDER The statewide indoor mask mandate will lift at 11:59 PM on March 11. This change is in alignment with Oregon and California. This means that beginning Saturday, March 12, masks will become optional in our school buildings. Staff and students will have the choice to wear a mask at school, with the expectation that others’ choices will be respected. WSD would like to remind our staff, students, and parents that no one should not make assumptions regarding someone’s beliefs or health status, nor should they comment on them. Masks will continue to be provided for those who do not have them and choose to wear them. More detailed information will be available Friday, March 11th via the district communication platform ParentSquare, website, and social media pages. Thank you for your continued flexibility and understanding as we navigate the changing requirements together. _______________ RECORDATORIO DEL MANDATO DE CUBREBOCAS PARA INTERIORES DEL ESTADO DE WASHINGTON El mandato de uso de cubrebocas en interiores en todo el estado se levantará a las 11:59 p. m. del 11 de marzo.
